Attorney Reshma D. Parmar began her legal career, concentrating in U.S. employment based and family immigration law, in 1997.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Parmar has successfully represented hundreds of corporate and individual clients, from all over the world in various sectors of the U.S. economy, in obtaining U.S. Permanent Residency and Citizenship as well as legally entering the U.S., visiting and working on temporary visas - i.e. H-1B, O-1, F-1, L-1, TN, B-1/2, E, J-1, K, etc.

Extensive Experience

Ms. Parmar worked for many years for a solo practitioner in downtown San Francisco. Working side by side with a well established practitioner, who served as Ms. Parmar's mentor, she gained in-depth expertise in immigration law. To expand her knowledge, Ms. Parmar joined a prominent, global immigration law firm, specializing in corporate matters and has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley start-ups. Individual clients have included pioneering research scientists, engineers, international economists, academics, healthcare professionals, architects, performers and artists.

Presently, Ms. Parmar also works as Of Counsel and provides senior consulting services to San Francisco Bay Area law firms.

Professional Memberships

Ms. Parmar is an active member of the California Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She is licensed to practice immigration law nationally. She has provided voluntary service to the U.S. Department of Labor, the Immigration Legal Resource Center in San Francisco, the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the San Francisco Bar Association and actively promotes immigrant rights at the local level.

Education

Ms. Parmar obtained her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of California at Davis and her Juris Doctor, with Honors, from Golden Gate University School of Law (with Distinction in the International Law Specialty). Ms. Parmar was the recipient of the Grotius Award for Academic Excellence in International Law.
